Template Management Part II
Template Project Implementation-Local Rollout Project creation
After proceed for rolled out the template as stated in Part I, you now create a local roll-out project (SAP Solution Manager project type implementation project). This is where you assign your project team members, roles and responsibilities, and define the implementation standards as normal.
In addition on the "Template selection" tab, you select one or more templates as well as related scenarios, for you implementation. This will copy the global processes from your template into your local implementation project.
Local Blue print phase
During your local business blueprint, you can then enhance the global processes, adapt harmonized and local processes to local requirements, and document local requirements of harmonized and local processes.
Additionally, you may add further local processes if required, and document them accordingly. The scope of processes to be implemented should be documented in a formal fashion by signing off the business blueprint.
Local Configuration
You perform the local configuration by applying preconfigured customizing shipped with the global template processes, and by performing the final configuration via IMG activities, based on local requirements.
You also deploy global customer-specific developments, such as reports, and you enhance your processes with local customer-specific developments. Test cases delivered with the template are used as a reference to create local test cases.
Testing and Roll out
All global and local requirements will then be tested using the regular test management capabilities provided in SAP Solution Manage, as you do with regular implementation projects.
Update of the template project and adjust the subsideries to the original will be discussed in Part III
