Using Activate Enhanced Approval Procedure Functions for ChaRM 7.1 Sp10

This blog is a How to Step by Step Config, If you are interested in activating the Enhanced Approval Procedure contained within Solution Manager 7.1 Sp10

 

If the customer has more than one Approval Process and wants to utilize a Rule based Approval Procedure, for their Change Docs,  they can do so using this new feature:

Activities

 

 

Choose New Entries,
and enter the following data:

Create Approval Procedure Rules

 

 

Use

 

 

You must create two rule
policies in the WebClient UI before you can use them for your approval
procedures:

 

 

 

    • Approval procedure rule: AI_CM_CR_RFC_PRO
    • Approval step determination rule: AI_CM_CR_RFC_STE

 

Activities

 

      • In the WebClient UI, choose Service Operations -> Rule Policies.

(The system displays the search screen for rule policies        )

  • Choose New, and
    choose Approval Management as the context. You have to create two rule
    policies. Save the first one, before you create the other:

 

 

 

For the approval procedure rule, enter AI_CM_CR_RFC_PRO
in the Rule Policy field.

 

 

 

For the approval step determination rule, enter AI_CM_CR_RFC_STEin the Rule Policy field.



(The system creates a default policy variant.)

  • Select the rule policy
    top node to set authorizations.
  • Select Draft Rules line item, then *Subnodeto
    create a Rule folder
    by adding a subnode.

  • Select the newly-created
    rule folder, and choose *Subnode to create a new Rule:

  • Under Rule Details,
    enter a name and a description for your new rule.

  • Add actions and
    conditions to your rule folder, as follows:
